Just wondering any of you that do your own acrylic nails at home;how difficult is it? Bare in mind I have never done anything like this before haha! Simple acrylic application, no fancy stuff, just putting the tips on and the clear stuff. Also, would love to know the best strong glue to use and where to buy it from (preferably online stores, ebay or amazon would be great)
Any tips how to shape almond or stiletto nails for beginners?
If anyone actually manages to read this and answer, would extremely be appreciated hehe bit of a long post!

Its really easy to do your own acrylic nails. sally beauty supply has the tips just glue them near the edge of your nail, cut them to desired length, file to desired shape. then ull need acrylic light pink or clear is best for tips. also ull need liquid solution too. they prob have kits with all of this. dip brush into liquid then into powder to get a little ball of powder. then brush over entire nail. keep doing it to desired thickness. once all done file them down so they are thinner and also shape them again so they are clean and crisp. ull want a buffer to smooth the nail. then just paint them with clear. glur isnt that crucial bc its the acrylic that is truly the staying power. hope this helps :)

Keep in mind most oriental nail salons use DENTAL acrylics. not real acrylics. they tend to break easier.
Sally sells lots of stuff. Just make sure when you do it, literally wipe your brush clean after ever step you do.

I do "press on" nails, shape them and paint them. Worn them for 3 weeks without them popping off with Naliene Super quick dry glue.
Acrylic can be hard to get smooth. I suggest using nail dual forms. ASP has them at Sally's. You apply acrylic, pop on the form, let it set then when you take off the form, you will have a smooth shiny surface. Perfect everything. Look at some YouTube tutorials first.
For stiletto/almond shape, cut them into a "you" shape. Then flip them over and file the free edge into a triangle. Focus on the sides. Most beginners make them too bulky.

I just did mine for the first time like a week ago and it was sooo much easier than I had expected. It's definitely fun to be able to do them on your own. & I think mine turned out great.
