Hello ladies!
I just started moving into a new apartment earlier this week and I would love some tips on transporting my makeup and beauty collection in the safest possible way. What advice can you give me for transporting this (medium? large?) decent sized makeup collection during my move? How do you ladies take care of your beauty supplies during a move? I would love every and any tips you can give me! I do not mind buying special supplies to pack this stuff up so I wouldn't mind if you recommended special packing supplies or items that I must purchase. I've definitely considered taking the collection little by little to the apartment by myself, but I was wondering if there was a more efficient way to move it (safely)?
Information about my move:
Luckily, I am just moving into a larger apartment in the same complex I live in now.. but I will be moving from a downstairs to an upstairs apartment which has a massive amount of stairs. I WILL be having a moving company come and move my furniture and large boxes. So any packing tips are appreciated whether its something I can do myself OR something that requires the help of professional movers.
Information about my beauty collection:
I don't know how I've acquired so much makeup as I don't even use *that* much =/
I have two large Sterilite drawer sets (one 4-drawer and one 3-drawer) that are over stuffed with both hair and makeup-more makeup than hair products though. 26" high, 12" wide, and 14" deep are the measurements for both units, so they hold quite a lot of items. I also have a Medium sized train case (easy transport, no help needed here) and about 75 lipsticks set up in acrylic lipstick cases. I have about 4 mason jars full of makeup brushes, but I will probably be transporting them with my paint brushes in a large protective carrier case I already have.
Moving and household supplies I already have:
-large and medium sized tupperware containers
-packing tapes
-bubble wrap
-wrapping/scrap paper
-saran wrap
-*I WILL buy any recommended packing items you suggest*

Also, I do not have to vacant my current apartment until February 3rd, so it is okay if some tips may be time consuming. Anything helps! =)
Thanks!

Thanks Mikayla! I don't know if it will make a difference or not, but do you think it would be better to put bubble wrapped makeup into smaller/moderate sized containers or bigger ones?

When I moved I took everything important to me, my makeup and nail polish, and moved it myself. Your collection is quite large, but if you divide it up in to small containers and just took trips up the stairs yourself over this long process at least you'll know it's safe. Plus, you'll get a great leg work out in from the stairs ;)

Hehe Thanks Laura! I totally forgot about nail polish until you mentioned it... and I have tons of it! I definitely think I will be taking these things to the apartment myself, in small batches after reading your suggestions. For the nail polish, I'll definitely be bubble wrapping it like crazy though!
