Blending my crease color into my highlight! I feel like I never have a smooth transition now matter how much I blend. Also drawing on my brows - I'm getting better but it's a learning process lol. One day they'll get there.

I would like to learn to paint my nails right lol add designs ugh would like to have cute diva nails.I want to say to those who think your not getting the contour down don't worry I'm saying this with honesty contour is always going to look unflattering in person its a technique for photos and stage and lighting helps the illusion as well PLEASE keep that in mind and you must contour your face from your view not from a picture step view we all have different shapes and we all don't need every spot on your face contoured. It can be as minimal as just adding a small dot then blend. As for bronzer its a 3 swipe its for the after contour if you choose to add a sun tan color over face and chest and that is why the colors are warm and some come with sparkles to give off that jlo glow so to speak. You'll all get the hang of any makeup issue just practices your face and form then apply, you can look at a pic for inspiration but look at the pic with your face in mind to help you tranfer the style to
Your needs.Hope this all made sense :-)

@ alma lol your post was so helpful I'm still getting the sculpting powder but I like how you mentioned its more for pictures now it made me realize that I'm trying to perform plastic surgery on my self with makeup lol I think my expectation where too high with the contouring lol I lowered them just a bit now with your post lol.

Lol I'm happy to know I could ease your mind about contouring Lili.I think that is why most think they can't seem to get certain looks down and get frustrated but in fact most pictures of makeup are what I call (picture pretty) it looks great on film because of edit or use apps most but not all use so its fades the so called harshness of the finish results. if you see a picture and you see all the makeup can you imagine how intense that looks in person, 10 times more intense ALMOST 3D lol.It takes time and practice to get it but for some it takes filters and apps lol that's the truth so don't give up but don't be so hard on your self if its not what you expected, it can be done but for a reason of effect not for every day use and this is a skill that takes time to achieve :-)

Alma, that helps me out a lot too! I contour on most days, and I'm always afraid of doing too much. In art school I always had a problem with "overworking" everything and completely killing pieces by going overboard and having to restart. I consciously try to be minimal and not as heavy-handed in both painting and makeup application since I find it quite similar in theory. I feel like my contouring looks appropriate, but then it never shows up in photographs, so I just assume I was too light-handed with my contouring... but I know what happens when I feel that way (from my artwork) so I just leave it as is in fear of going overboard or making the colors look "muddy." Its nice to know that I am doing an appropriate amount of contouring (for real life)!

I understand makeup (and application) in theory, but I'm not confident in my execution of application so I really wish I could master that! Specifically eyeshadow and any face makeup.
I used to be really into makeup and I thought I was pretty good at it... like 10 years ago =( I became more minimal with my look after that, and I've been trying to re-gain application skills I (thought/hoped) I once had.

That is so sweet of you alma you made me feel so much better of my shity contouring lol you lowered my plastic surgery type expectations and opened my eyes to remind me that a lot of people edit there photos lol if you would have never told me I wouldnt have remembered that part of beauty, see I look at something I like (like many ladys) and say oh I want to try that but get lost in it and trying to achieve it that we forget its fake and not really done through hands and more like computers

Your correct Natalie in theory they're similar and its normal to over think the creativity of art, its the pressure we feel all the time because we're our own worst credit.Believe me I understand and jackie always tells me I don't give myself enough credit on my makeup skills lol.I use to draw a lot and I guess that is why makeup was easy to me.If you have noticed sometimes when I explain techniques I use words like fade or shadow or feather off because in my mind its like drawing a picture and I believe if you can draw anything then makeup should become easy to you.I'm sure you could do many styles its just you holding yourself back.Natalie bring your skills back, because obviously you have the knack :-) wow that was funny it almost came out as if I was rapping to you lmao!
