How long will it take a foundation to turn darker if it's going to? I'm trying a new foundation and I don't want to go into school orange! I have combination skin, but not really oily. Thanks :)

I've heard to keep it in the fridge it prevents it from becoming orange/turning a different color!

I don't refrigeration will change anything because oxidation is s reacting thus product has with your skin when it produces oil or whatnot...I'm not sure how long it would take though.

It's supposed to take about 10-20 seconds to oxidize, it's what it takes to set, but I don't know if some brands may be different according to the formula.

Yup once it's set or you set it with powder. Look at it in natural lighting :)

30 minutes after application is a more reasonable time for foundation to oxidize on the skin. To minimize the risk of it happening...blot face with a blotting sheet after you apply your moisturizer to get up excess moisture before applying foundation. If it still occurs then you might want to look at getting a different formula. My skin, regardless of tricks of application, my skin will oxidize using Laura Mercier and Lancome foundations. But it won't oxidize with Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation.

Not all foundations will oxidise but definitely give it about 30 minutes :)
