One of my favorite foundations is the makeup forever HD, it's 42 dollars, which is a bit pricey. But, good drugstore alternatives are the covergirl outlast stay fabulous foundation, which retails for about 10 dollars, as well as the revlon color stay which also retails for about 10$. I'm more into BB creams but these foundations are great and have amazing reviews! :)

Price doesn't really matter, I just want the best of the best! As long as its worth the price, I havent tried anything 'HD' I almost bought an HD' primer, but what exactly does the HD do or mean? What makes it different?

I honestly don't know what they mean by "HD", I even tried looking it up and I didn't receive a straight forward answer :/ But I do know that the makeup forever foundation has a thin texture because of its water base, and therefore spreads easily. It is made to apply smoothly, while also being buildable. So maybe that contributes to its name, but again I'm not completely sure. I hope this helped :) xx

HD stands for high definition which means the formula is supposed to photograph well (however there are a kajillion factors that can affect how well one's makeup appears in photos or videos). I'm far from a pro, but for medium to full coverage I like MUFE's HD foundation. It has neither a matte nor glowy finish (satin?). Estee Lauder's Double Wear (in blue tube) is definitely full coverage. Some other foundations that are highly regarded in this community are Bobbi Brown, Guerlain, Hourglass and Chanel. I'm not as familiar with those, so I can't suggest which formulas would best suit your skin type.

Estée Lauder double wear camouflage is great it's a full coverage & lasts a long period of time even without a setting spray!

I use MUFE HD Lift Foundation which is lighter than their HD Foundation. Their HD Foundation is awesome too. Blends well. Doesn't cause me break outs and I barely feel it through my day.

Oh and lift is $42 and HD is $44. Expensive but they last me 3-4 months.

Nars sheer glow (buildable) is my fave but I yet to own one for myself. Retailed for around $45-$60. I tried the Estée Lauder double wear (bone is my shade) & it's a thick foundation that can feel cakey if you applied more than two layers however it does give you a pretty good coverage. I do believe that it settles with a light powdery finish though which is probably why a lot of folks likes it.

Thank you Ms. Jacqueline! It's crazy how there is an HD makeup, to go with HD photography. Now my question is, does it look odd off camera? I know that too much good stuff can lead to makeup disasters, so this is why I ask :)

I'm in LOVE with Lancome Ultra idol 24h!! it gives good coverage (I can apply a little bit more where needed and it doesn't go cakey) and the finish is just amazing!
