For some people yes, most people no. I personally need to exfoliate every day. I'm like, 99% sure I have milla. so dead skin cells build up in my pores causing little bumps. if I don't exfoliate every day, these dumps either turn into pimples, blackheads, or just get outta control.
for most people tho, they should only exfoliate about once or twice a week.

Thank you kyraa! thats exactly why I was wondering, I have milia :( too and I'm thinking I need to exfoliate more. I was the type of person to exfoliate twice a week!

Depends on the part of my face for me. It varies an insane amount. I exfoliate my nose almost every day, my forehead maybe once or twice a week, and my cheeks... Maybe once every other week. So, it really depends on your skin.

Definitely depends on the skin and perhaps what you're using. I use anything and can use it everyday and never have a problem with irritation or anything

For you body its fine, for your face absolutely not. When my acne was at my worst I went to get a facial and my aesthetician asked me my routine. When I told her that I exfoliated every day this is what she told me...
Exfoliating removes dead skin cells, thats why its healthy to do it at most 3 times a week. NEVER exfoliate on consecutive days because you remove the first layer of your epidermis; weakening your skin, making acne much worse, being more susceptible to blackheads and dirt build up from your environment. She said no matter the skin type, people should wait at least 32 hours so that the skin has a chance to build up and heal itself.
She also warned me that people who exfoliate everyday and just suddenly stop will experience a break out which will make them want to exfoliate more. She said to deal with the break out but don't go back to exfoliating - wait a couple of days at least (for me I had to wait a week). That first week was awful but honestly my skin has been infinitely better since she shared that advice with me :) Good luck and I hope this helps!

It really depends on your skin. Everyone is different and will have different reactions to things. I personally exfoliate my face and body every single day, I have to. You just have to experiment with different routines to find what works best for you. Different products will also work differently, so there's a lot of trial and error. You really can't rely on other's recommendations, since your skin is vastly different from everyone else's. Just make sure to really pay attention to what your skin tells you, it knows what it likes best after all! I wish you luck on your skincare journey!
