Right now I just put raw coconut oil on my dry hair. It's been sitting for about a half hour.
When I rinse it out, do I use shampoo and conditoner?

Yeah, you might even have to wash it out twice. I usually sleep in it and then by the time I wash it in the morning it comes out easier because a lot has absorbed.

I never shampoo it out unless I have to go somewhere important where I can't put my hair in a braid. If I'm just going to run errands or doing a family dinner I just condition my ends and then rinse well and throw it in a braid.
But your hair might be a bit oily if you put it on your scalp

I just use conditioner then the next day I threwly wash it out. It makes no sense to put shampoo and try to get rid of the nutrients you just put in. But if its a bit too oily for you. I normally use a quarter size just to get rid of some of the oilyness. I did this treatment earlier this morning.
