Hair chalk?? Help.

So I bought some hair chalk but I just realised that my hair is very dark so it doesn't really shown up that vibrant on my hair. Is there any way I can make it more vibrant? Ps. I've already tried getting my hair wet first and it didn't really make a difference.

It comes off really easy and doesn't give a vibrant color as expected
