Two things. First try consuming more vitamin K like spinach. If that's not working then the under eye area just has more pigment in it and you'll need to try a brightening serum or cream. I'd look for something with absorbic acid (vitamin C), glutathione, Kojic acid, licorice root extract or Arbutin

Sliced cucumbers, tea bags, lemon juice and the best one is applying milk cream with some olive oil and lemon juice on night and wash on morning :-)

I agree with Aurora. I've had dark circles all my life and have tried a lot of products. About 1 year ago a tried a couple of products. Ironically, the 2 products I tried, I didnt purchase myself. One was Ole Henriksen Truth in in the Eyes Eye Peel (you don't actually see any visual peeling, at least I didnt). A friend of mine gave it to me, she said it was too strong for her (I think there is Vit c in it). She has extremely sensitive skin, whereas I don't. The 2nd product I tried was Lancome Genifique Light Pearl Eye Illuminating Eye Conentrate. I got this as one of those free gifts when you redeem your SEPHORA points. Well, after using both these products, I saw a significant lightening in a week!. Thats crazy! At first I didn't know which product was actually working or was it a combination of both of them. I deduced that it was the Genifique, although I'm still using both. I also was using some brightening eye creams over these 2 products because I still need moisturizing & anti wrinkle benefits. The Ole product is a gel & the Genfique is a serum with a cold steel ball applicator. But I knew the brightening creams had little to do with the improvement of my dark circles because I had been using that for a year prior to using the new products with only slight improvement of my circles, The improvement I saw with the Genifique was SIGNIFICANT. Its kinda crazy because I thought the Genfique was mainly for PUFFINESS with some added ingredients for dark circles because of the cold steel ball applicator. Everyone knows that applying cold to areas will calm down puffiness and swelling. And I never had a problem with puffiness or "eye bags". My problem was only dark circles. I have since actually purchased 2 more bottles of the Genfique Eye Pearl. I havent repurchased the Ole gel yet because I still have the original tube my friend gave me. I don't know if I will purchase it, because I feel its the Genifique is the one giving the most of the improvement. I'm guessing that the source of my problem with dark circles wasnt necessarily on the top layer of my skin (although it may be a little), it was underneath with poor circulation. So with the combination of the cold steel ball applicator & the Genifique formula, I have finally found my Holy Grail eye serum. Here are a few last points to remember;
*Not everyone's dark circles are caused by the same problem as mine.
*These products are not moisterizing although they are not drying, I still encourage using an eye cream over them esp. if youre applying makeup over them.
*Be care if you have sensitive skin & are thinking about the Ole gel.
* I was using the Benefit ITS POTENT brightening cream with little dark circle improvement) over the Genifique Serum because I still need a moisterizer, although I have recently switched to Tarte's Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Cream because I was ready to try a new eye cream & I love the Tarte Maracuja Oil.

Here is a pic of all the products mentioned: From L to R:
*Ole Henriksen TRUTH IS IN THE EYES (I use this at night, then top off with eye cream after it absorbs)
*Genifique Eye Pearl (I use this in the morning then top off with eye cream after it absorbs) Although I will probably start using it day & night as soon as I finish using up the Ole gel. Be careful when purchasing the Genifique, because there is a REGULAR Genifique for the FACE, the EYE PEARL is the one for the eyes.
*Top dark jar is the Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Cream (currently using over the serum & gel)
*The lighter bottom jar is the Benefit ITS POTENT cream (was using it, its ok)

I have dark circles as well Jai! So I know how you feel. I have tried many eye creams and have not gotten lighter.

@Marleen. Thank you for the info on the eye serums. I've actually tried the Genifique for the face and I liked it. So I can just imagine how the eye serum works. I'll definitely try it :)
