What is the process of acrylic nails and does it hurt? How long do they usually last? Any TIPS about them?

Tbh I've had acrylics twice. the first time I had them for about 2 weeks and they were extremely painful because my nail wasn't used to the damage it was causing. Then after 6 months I decided to get them again. they were painless, but the visits to get them filled in again was pain for me. not to mention it's like $20 for a fill in. I got them removed recently after having them on for 3 months. my nail was completely ruined and super fragile. It's been a while since I got them off but my nails are thinner than they were before and not going back to how the originally are. I suggest not getting them and just throw some polish on those beautiful nails of yours! embrace it!! :)

If you have the extra cash I would get gels. how long they last in my opinion depends on the place on you go to because the first time I got them done they didnt start falling off til almost a month later then I went to a different place to get them done for prom and they started coming off the week after. your nails are going to get ruined regardless with gel and acrylic but acrylics are going to make your nails insanely fragil, with gels your nails won't be as fragil which helps a lot.
