You should use both a moisturizer and let that dry then use a primer over it.

Agree with diana. you use both. always moisturize your face after cleansing it then let it settle in and put on a primer abd let it set also.

I think it depends on your skintype and the primer you choose. If you are oily and your primer offers some moisture, you may not need a moisterizer. If you have dry skin, you will need a moisterizer, but it might already be in a your primer. Also, a lot of CC creams have moisterizers & primers built it. In my case, I have dry skin and use a serum, then a very moisterizing brightening sunscreen, then a primer with light moisture. I then follow up with a moisterizing CC Cream. I save my real moisterizer for nighttime. I think you just have to experiment & find what works for you.

I use both a moisturizer and primer, but my skin is very dry. The hourglass mineral veil primer is very good, but you should consider your skin type and what kind of feel you like. Many target different needs like texture, oil control, or brightening.

With my dry to normal skin I can get away with just moisturizer but for a more flawless look I would go with both. Also with my skin it depends on the foundation how moisturizing it is or drying.
