It definitely depends on what color your hair is. My hair is a dark brown and I've wanted this color for ages but it seems that hairdressers can never get it this pigmented unless they bleach my entire head first. It always comes out a darker red color.

If you go to sally's or any beauty shop I want to say that it's call Hicolor by loriel it's made for dark hair. anyway they have a color called hot red. it should do the trick.

Totally agree with Reagan. I used the color magenta and I came out firey. And I started from a dark brown. It's a high lift. It says to use a 30vol developer but I used 20vol and it was very bright and lifted well.

The only issues I have had with that brand was the blondes. they never worked for me. no matter what I did. but the red was always awesome. even though it was really bright I still somehow kept a professional image for work.

At sallys they carry Ion hair dye... I dip dyed my ends that color (with bleach because I have dark brown hair) but tge red they sell looks exactly like that. But listen here, if you bleach your head, the bleach lasts a long time. it would be easy to keep up the color.
