I'm not going shopping any time soon, but I want to be aware of any really hydrating foundations that smooth over dry patches and create a dewey, glowy finish. Any favorites? Something I could find at Ulta or Sephora? My MUFE HD foundation photographs beautifully but gets gunky on my dry spots.

I think Clinique makes a hydrating foundation, but I'm not 100% sure.
NARS Sheer Glow is a great foundation for people with dry skin. haven't heard a single bad thing about it yet (:

MUFE Face and Body, Clinique Moisture surge I have heard is nice, Laura Mercier Silk Creme and their hydrating foundation, Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich foundation and for extra dry skin the Bobbi Brown Extra Repair foundation. Elis Faas skin veil sold on Beautylish is also nice for dry skin.
For dry patches my BHA exfoliant handles them quite well ♥

Clinique and I love the Makeup Forever Hd... Are you using a good moisturizer and primer before? I also like Nars Sheer Glow but if broke me out so I would try samples of any foundation you end up with. Laura Mercier Silk Cream is great to for dry skin.

Bobbi Brown is very nice, I believe Miss Jacqueline uses them for dry skin types so I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Thank you Em! Your first suggestion sounds really cool. I didn't see your comment Lisa, but I use a moisturizer before makeup- let that soak in, then use the MUFE HD Microperfecting Primer that goes with the MUFE HD Invisible Cover foundie...

Nars sheer glow, Bareskin, Hourglass Mineral Veil. When I'm super dry I usually go for the Bareskin. It takes a while to get use to because it can feel oily but now it's grown on me and it's pretty great for dry skin. Just make sure you powder the areas that aren't flaky.

Thank you Kat! Yes I heard the serum in the Bareskin is quite moisturizing.
