Buying foundation is a nightmare for my skin.

I know I post a lot of threads on this, I'm sorry girls.
I love foundation but god do I hate buying it! I bought the Revlon Photoready foundation and concealer yesterday and they're way too yellow for me so I have to return them, but I have to say if anyones thinking about buying them they're really nice.
I can never find a foundation thats pale enough for me, good coverage, stays all day, and doesn't oxidise. I need your help!! :(

Backstory on my skin:
I have normal/ dry, spot prone skin. I have a neutral undertone and I can't wear foundations that are slightly pink or yellow because it's really noticeable against my chest. I have very translucent skin so it needs to be a medium coverage.

Foundations I've tried and have failed on me:
*these will all be the lightest in the series available in my country*
Bourjois healthy mix foundation (too yellow), loreal true match (too pink and oxidised), revlon photoready (too yellow), revlon colourstay (closest I've found yet but slightly too pink), No.7 Instant Radience, No.7 Mousse, Maybelline mousse, Collection lasting perfection concealer, maybelline age rewind, maybelline fit me (too yellow, too dark), max factor cc cream(oxidised)

A matching concealer would be great too. It needs to be nearly white and completely neutral. Thanks in advance! Hopefully I won't have to ask about foundations ever again -.-
It can high end but within reason, more than 30 euro is too much

Maybe try covergirl outlast 3 in 1 in the shad 810 it might be too dark for you but it's fairly neutral I have the same problem as you except I'm not that pail it fits me in winter though.

Nars Sheer Glow and their concealer go very pale. I'm not sure what price they are but I've heard good things about them and that a little goes a long way.

Lauren is correct, covergirl isn't a brand we have here and I don't like buying foundation online (you're just guessing what colour) thank you Anna though :)
What Mac foundations are good do you think Lauren?

Maybe go to Brown Thomas or Debenhams to the makeup counters and see if they have samples of the foundations! :)

I got the studio sculpt and I have oily and dry acne prone skin, it doesn't get really greasy and also doesn't make my dry patches noticeable, that's the only mac foundation I've tried

It's 40 euro for Nars over here, I'll check it out anyway though.. beggers can be choosers haha thank you though, people seem to rave about it :)
Just checked online, Nars doesn't go below light 3 here. It never fails to amaze me why a country with no sun doesn't stock pale shades.

Have you tried coverfx? I know they cater to spot prone skin, both dry and oily (obviously) hahah! Their shades go pretty pale from what I have seen.

@Diana I do use primers, different ones for whatever suits my skin that day and we don't have elf either :(
@Lauren, yeah I'll have to, I'll make my boyfriend wear a suit and accompany me there so they'll actually help me lol. Hmm studio sculpt, I'll ask to try that so :)
@Eve, I think I saw the ad for that, Max Factor likes to oxidise on me but I'll research it anyway, thank you :)

You should try no7 superlight foundation, they have a pale shade that would be worth a look and as far as I know its neutral :) it has medium coverage too and it looks dewy but put some powder on if you don't like that look :) I love it

@Sandra, going to go back on the website and see if they have it now :) is that in the sheer glow range?
@Renay, Alma recommended it to me before but they don't sell it here :/
I wish I could go to New York for a day and just play with all the different brands we don't have here haha

Oh bummer :( well good luck on finding a great foundation! I don't have dry skin so I can't be of much help. :(

The lightest we have here is Gobi (Light 3)
Thank you Rebecca, I really like their foundations so I'll look into that :)
Never heard of that one Sarah, but I'll google it, thanks!

No way! Can't believe they don't sell the lighter shades.

Again it might be a bit pricey but I personally really like Bobbi Brown's foundations, they last ages! I bottle can last ages. I'm very pale too and I've not had a problem finding a match, even in concealer and bb creams which are usually the biggest struggles for me.

I know its ridiculous. We really get screwed on makeup over here, limited stock and ridiculous prices. I can't even buy Duo glue in my county! What's the best foundation by Bobbi brown in your opinion?
Ah stop Lauren I know, they're terrible. They are never helpful or nice to me unless he's there. Such snobs it makes me sick to have to buy from them haha
Thanks for the help anyway Renay, it means a lot that you girls are taking the time to help!

I like a lighter coverage and really like their bb cream. I've recently got their skin foundation which I like so far (only tried it once) but you might like the long wear one which is higher coverage and matte or the foundation sticks. I haven't tried either of them though but I've heard good things about both from friends and family that have tried them.

I've tried another one too but I can't remember for the life of me what it was. It was ages ago.

I would have never looked into Bobbi Brown on my own, I despised their concealer, so thank you, I'll start researching :)

Has anyone tried Loreal Infallible, Rimmel Match Perfection, Rimmel 25 hours, or Loreal True Match Concealer?

Jul 9, 2014

Breeze T.

Have you tried the Bourjois healthy mix and healthy mix serum foundations? I don't know if the color will be right for you but they are neutral toned :)

I like Rimmel Match Perfection concealer...but if you're willing to splurge and can get color matched somewhere Makeup Forever HD foundation has a really good shade range with a mix of undertones all along the shade range- light skin with warm, neutral or cool undertones, etc.
