Scrubs them to the bone! Use exfoliators or a loofa and moisturizer and scrub scrub scrub!

Get a lemon put sugar on it and Scrub. Repeat multiple times that should tone it down.

Its not great for the skin but my mum always uses a flash wipe when that happens to her and it works great.

At the drugstore you might be able to find fake tan remover wipes. I've heard St. Tropez makes them.

If you watch Tati (glamlifeguru) on YouTube, like 2 weeks ago she posted a tip Tuesday on how to get self tanner off your bend I'm pretty sure! go watch that video it's only 2 minutes!!
