How to do a French manicure??

How on earth are you supposed to do French nails with the white tip? It's impossible! Is there a special way?
Btw I just tried to draw a wite line om the tip of my nails with the nail varnish brush - disaster!

You could try using Sellotape just like this...

I use a bandaid for the curve! Gets the perfect angle and you can mess up a little and it will just go on the bandaid.
