Help with packing for Florida.

I hope I put it in the right category. But I'm leaving to Florida for 16 days and I don't know how much cloths to pack and what to pack. I don't want to over due it because I know I'm going to get stuff out there. But I don't want to regret leaving a ton of stuff home. What are some of your tricks to packing lightly but till have different outfits?

I live here. its HOT! I would pack shorts, nice shirts, sneakers if going to the theme parks, sandals, bathing suits, and a couple of summery and dressy dresses :)
