I used to cut my cuticles, but I stopped a while ago when I read up about what it does. what's a easy way to get rid of cuticles without damaging my nails?

You can soak them in warm water for about 5-10 minutes and then push them back with an orange stick. Also you can buy some cuticle conditioner or remover from the store to paint on them.

This is probably a stupid question but what's a orange stick?

Put cuticle oil on them and push them back instead of cutting them ,you can also try Sally Hansen cuticle remover ,it dissolves dry cuticles.

An orange stuck is like a toothpick but longer and it has a flat rounded moon shape on one of the ends. You can buy them at pretty much any drugstore or beauty store.

You shouldn't cut your cuticles because they are a barrier against Infection, they protect your nail beds.

They do, but I'm old school and cut mine. You can still properly trim them without cutting them off also.
