Should concealer be lighter/darker/same colour as skin tone and should it go before or after foundation?

It should be lighter than your skintone.I have seen people wear concealer both ways but I prefer after.

Light also

Same or if not possible, close but slightly darker. The only reason you need lighter is for highlighting.

Darker will detract from the look of acne, lighter highlights. I do after so it stays where you need it.

Slightly lighter if you're wearing it under your eyes. The SAME color for facial discoloration. Under or over is a matter of preference if you're using liquids and creams. But if you're using a powder foundation, then concealer should go under.

Depends on where you're putting the concealer. Always go lighter if it's in highlighting regions and same or very slightly darker as Sapphire said. If it's the same color, I prefer to put it on after foundation, but if it's darker, I prefer before so that my foundation evens it out.
