I think Bh cosmetics make nice makeup palettes and are easily available they have wide variety of colors from neutrals to bright colors.

BH Cosmetics has 120 color pallet from neon to natural. They sell it for $15 on the Haute Look app every so often. The shadow quality is pretty good for what you're paying. I use some of the colors to contour as well.

I have pallets from BH and if you thought the Ulta's make up kit was OK I have a feeling you won't like BH cosmetics because they have poor color payoff and are a little more difficult to work with :) When I first started, I had a Victoria Jackson make up kit that was beautiful and easy to use - I think now its about $30 - $40 dollars. For cheap drug store shadows I really, really, really like Profusion eyeshadows because they are easy to blend and have beautiful pigmentation. Their shadows also come in different finishes :) I hope this helped! Good luck
