Maine and tail isn't ph balanced for human hair. it's too waxy and it dries out your hair horribly sweety. shouldn't use it!!

What kiimy said. Human and horse hair are not the same. Ever see a horse with conditioned soft hair? No because the waxes are to coat the hair on the horse mainly to protect it from getting all muddy, and to make bugs and stuff not be able to stick well on to the hair. Or at least that's what my aunt who owns 6 horses says.

It'll dry out your hair and when people say it helped grow their hair, all it did was weigh it down and appear longer, but duller, flatter and less volume.
I would just find a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, and use that. It'll be most nicer for your hair than this.

I think mane n tail is one of those things that became a rage too quick but on using it didnt meet its claims. its horse shampoo. and I've read users complain of hair getting dry and unmanageable with product buildup and residue.

I used this leave in conditioner, and personally I loved it. It made my hair smooth, soft, shiny, and easy to manage. I totally think it's worth it.
