Tips For Naturally Curly Hair?

Ok so my hair is naturally curly but it's losing its curl but only on one side of my head. My hair is just about at the point where a cami would start if you wear one(when I straighten it), it's also pretty thick and coarse and I have little random hairs that like to stick out at the top of my head. Right now I use herbal essence mousse and I think it's the volumizing kind. It's in a purple can with orange on the front. If anyone has any other questions that would help feel free to ask :)
