So my hair is lifeless. I am so tempted to get a perm but I hvent dyed or done anything chemical to my hair in years and I would like to keep it tht way but I don't know if I can. my hair is mainly straight.. it has been in a side part for years and is like stuck tht way. I would like it if my hair just did whatever I want and not fight me. is there anyway to do this.?... they really should have classes for beauty and hair lol.

I use hair serums for shine and health and blow out my hair with a blowdryer, also layers add volume

After you shower & your hair is wet try parting it a different way & add texturizing spray to it when wet :)

Layers, blowing out with a round brush and a texturizing spray. Use Working sprays before curling to help it stay :)

Are you Asian Hun? I am too and I have this same issue - well actually I'm half so half the time it looks ok :P but with all my cousins n Asian friends I notice they have very dense and heavy hair that doesn't really want to be anything but straight... So what works for me is certain products that are lightweight and don't weigh down my hair any further - volumizing mousses and hair spray with strong hold - also usually you can mold it into curls when wet and it will hold for the majority of the day (but depending on how heavy your hair is it could go back to straight after a few hours) so try different things and see what works for you - I find that heat usually keeps my hair straight so if you want curls try to do them heatless like roll them in foam rollers while wet over night n see if that helps.
