What makeup products will help me stay matte throughout the day without looking cakey? I'm not a huge fan of touching up my makeup.

Mattifying primer, blotting sheets.
Tbh if you have a long day ahead of you, it's probably best to touch up.. Blotting sheets should do the trick, though.

I used Too Faced Primed & Poreless which is a mattifying primer, NARS Sheer Matte foundation, & Tarte Smooth Operator powder, which is also mattifying. those products all worked really well together (:
I also agree with Relay about touching up. definitely bring blotting sheets & some powder along with you for the day so you can stay matte looking!

Neutragena oil free moisturizer for combo skin will control your oils... and after applying foundation, dab your face with a tissue to remove oils from the foundation

Mattifying primer & setting spray. I use the Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer, do my face as usual, use Mac's Fix + to reduce the powdery look then set my face using NYX Matte spray. I stay matte a good portion of the day & when I see myself getting oily I use my ELF blot sheets.

Corn starch as a translucent powder. Lots of translucent powders have corn starch or even rice powder which are all really good for staying matte but they add fillers and silicone so that there's more product and so that it works for other skin types like normal and dry
