Quick question...but can getting a tan change the undertone of your skin as well?

I ask because before I was tanned I was yellow undertoned and the foundation I have now fits me since I've became darker and it has a yellow undertone but when I put it on I feel like I look sort of green... I just feel like my undertoned may have changed or something.
