Girls how can I match a neckless with a dress depending on the seam cut?

If the dress doesn't have straps or go for a necklace that goes a little over the dress or if its long sleeve go for a dog collar necklace -not actual dog collar but I know what I mean- and if it has straps go for a necklace that goes in the middle of your chest area - like in the middle of your lower neck and the top of your dress- Lol I'm not sure if this is what you meant but here is a tip!
