I don't know if it has chemicals in it or not I used to use it alll the time but I stoped I tried not your mothers beach waves sea salt spray but it makes my hair really dry.

Salt is drying on the hair but not overly damaging if you don't over use it and be sure to moisturizer your hair often enough. Hair gel itself is alright, it all depends on the ingredients and use. Anything with Shea butter, argon oil, serums or protiens in it will be better than the latter

Well, salt draws moisture out of anything it touches (hence why people use it to kill slugs as it draws out all their moisture) so I imagine it would be drying to the hair if not used with other products properly.

Yeahh that explains why my hair is so dry I didnt even realize it was drying to my hair thank youu ^.^
I shd of been more detailed I meant if the hair gel was bad for our hair?
