Heat protective spray?

My hair is frizzy and wavy. It's not like a typical flawless wave, it's more like crazy medieval knight hair 😂. I can't "tame my mane" unless I straighten it every morning after I shower and clean my hair. Is it safe you use heat protective spray or other products?
