I washed mine two nights ago but have not use make up yesterday or today. If you use a sponge with the Estée Lauder double wear foundation, you have to wash it out within a fee hours after finishing up on application. So I got into the habit of washing my sponges after I am done with make up and if I used any brushes, they get wash too.

That is so many...(so jealous).
I only have like this really crappy kabuki brush that is so prickly and 2 concealer brushes that also suck and there so cheap and crappy
An then I have this super fluffy soft paint brush that I use for blending eyeshadow lol
Makeup brushes tend to be too expensive and I never have enough money to buy them but I mostly just use my 10$ beauty blender so I hardly have to use them :)

I found your comment very Interesting Jacqueline, thank you. How should I clean them between washes? Specially eyeshadows ones, sometimes I use isoprophilic alcohol, is it ok? I know the bristles can get dry but I have no other ideas.

I mix one part tea tree oil to 5 parts alcohol to spray on my brushes between uses so that they don't over dry.
Everyone has such a nice brush collection! Glad I'm not alone with suddenly having a bunch of brushes.. I'm now working on using High quality brushes... I have my first one by Wayne Goss! It's absolutely splendid.. very soft and very flawless on the finish. Threw out my real techniques stippling brush ( that I hate with a passion ) as soon as I got it.

Thank you for this thread Sandra you reminded me to wash all my brushes, sort through them and throw out old makeup.
For anyone whose wondering about eyeshadow brushes, if they're very bad I clean them with dettol, 3 parts water 1 part dettol (thanks Jacqueline ;) ) but if they aren't too bad you can clean them quickly if you swipe them in circular motions on a doughnut used for hair buns. I just use my old one for blonde hair. Really handy if you want to use the same one for two colours doing a look

Clean them after you use them or once its dry (about 3-5 minutes). So that you don't get the alcohol on your skin.. and yes it is. I learned the trick from a skin care esthetician.
