What exactly does a bronzer do? Can you use it to contour your face with?

I don't use it personally but people say it adds glow to your skin. You could contour with it as long as it's not shimmery

Never ever ever use bronzer to contour! Use a grey-toned brown (either a darker foundation or powder) because bronzer a tend to be very shimmery and orange toned. It is meant to warm up your face, you can still put it on the hollows if your face just not really for proper contouring, and you would typically put it where you put blush and where the light hits your face to warm up your face. Unless you find a matte, non-orange bronzer, then I would say never for contour!

In addition to what the loverly Jacqlyn W. said, in order to place bronzer correctly on your face, apply it to the highest/furthest out places of your face. For example, I apply it to the top of my forehead, the tip of my nose, and the tops of my cheeks.
