I just bought a pair of pretty expensive jeans because my old ones ripped. The jeans I'm used to are basically no actual denim in them, they're called the "t-shirt" jeans because they feel like a t-shirt lol. I switched over to a true jean type of jean and in the store they felt fine, when I got home, tore off the tags, and trashed the receipt and tried them on I realized how wrong I was. After wearing them for 20 minutes I had a giant print in my tummy and lines on my thighs. The jeans were the exact same measurements and just to double check I tried back on my old jeans and a few other pair and they all fit. I'm not sure if this is a new-jean problem or me just used to my old jeans but I need help! I'm going on a plane in a few hours and they are the only jeans I have at the moment without a giant rip in the butt.

Do you not have any leggings or sweat pants to wear just for now??

I'd there's no stretch to them they will feel different. Many moons ago when I was much thinner a sales person made the point that you shouldn't put jeans in the dryer. She pointed out that if you used a lot of muscle you could stretch them while wet and hang to dry and have more length. Might work with the waist band?

Denim normally stretches, so they might relax by the end of the day. It could be why your other jeans fit better, they're just broken in.

If it's around the waist, when you get on the plane unbutton the top and let it all hang loose :) as Sunny mentioned, wearing jeans wet is a great way to stretch them, not wringing wet coz that is disaster for chaffing but damp :)

You may just have to break them in - new jeans I find are usually really stiff and even just freshly washed jeans - sometimes I let them air dry instead of in the dryer to keep them from shrinking - so just wear them a few days in a row and they should stretch out better.
