I have real bad dry skin. My skin chips off and it's very irritating and ideas on how to have moist smooth skin. I use lotion at night but it only works for a little while.

Make sure to exfoliate every few days. I use the Fresh Sugar Face Polish. For a moisturizer I use bare Minerals Purely Nourishing Cream. Works wonders for me and keeps my face happy all day.

Try using coconut oil and exfoliation gently once a week. Put moisturizer on day and night, and fixing the problem from the inside always helps too so drink lots of water!

Try using bath gloves to exfoliate then using a dry skin formula overnight.

Fyi, sometimes dry skin is a symptom of something else. Drink water! A good way to figure out how much many ounces you need a day is to do tge following...
Take your weight
Divide it by half
Subtract 20
What's left is the number of ozs. You should be comsuming daily
Also, extra virigin, first pressed cold pressed, olive oil. Its very similar to our natural lipids. After a shower, and e exfoliation, apply evoo to your wet skin. You do not need a lot. You can add it to a lotion, or add a few drops of essential oil for scent. Then pat dry. This will seal in moisture, and leave skin silky.

1) Cleanse with honey or oatmeal.
2) Steam your face.
3) exfoliate with sugar, mixed with an oil. (olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil...) and wash off with cold water.
4) Apply moisturizer or the oil again and pat it in as if youre pushing it in your pores.
5) Sleep early! :)

Steaming not good for dry skin, and never exfoliate with sugar...
Coconut oil is not suitable for face. It clogs.
