My skin is so oily and full of blackheads and acne , if I wear makeup it melts in 30 mins so I have been using this new toner its hearbal , and when I use it it smells so strong and gross but my face feels fresh even when I wake up in morning , but I'm afraid could it be too harsh or have any side effects in the long run?its called ayur hearbal toner!

I have heard of this and no it is not harsh. must be green or pink in color right? well you can safely use it :)
as it is an indian brand, many people here might not know it. so to get more experienced opinions, you could post a picture of the ingredients here
hope I helped :)

This is perfectly safe and really amazing for oily skin. In fact most of ayur's oily skin products are really good and the really thick winter cream is great too... Forgot what it's called

Yes you can. I have used it, it won't harm.. just give a break of 3-4 days after a month.. again start using it repeating the same cycle

The second ingredient is alcohol, third glycerin. Water is the first, thats common.
If you have oily skin, this can make it worse. Due to high alcohol content. It strips skin of natural lipids, forcing over production. Glycerin is moisturizing, which is good, but can be irritating. Straight distilled rose water is a beautiful toner. Or an alcohol free which hazel. The one I know of on the market is thayers (rose, aloe, or lavender).

So no, I don't think it great for oily skin. The ingredients are nothing fantastic, healing, or benefitical. All the good stuff is low on ingredient list. And I see no actives in it. Its basically water, alcohol, and glycerin.

Look into an oil free moistruizer. This will help combat lipid production. And a gentle, foaming cleanser as well.
Good luck

Cosmetic chem, so basically since most products have water as first ingredient. The main ingredient is alcohol

Fyi, isopronyol is alcohol.

I know that isopronyol is alcohol...the print on the label is so small my blind eyes had a hard time seeing it. Ouch...that is the harsh kind too...and if my memory is correct its not even a fatty alcohol.

Its common lotions, astringents, body sprays. And yher beauty products. Not great for daily use on facial skin.

Its a solvent derived from prophane.

Pretty nasty product actually. Would do more damage then good. Aside from stripping, carbon would cause free radical damage.
