I'm still new to makeup and I was wondering what the difference is between NC and NW, what they stand for and what would be better for my skin? I'm quite tanned, with Mediterranean background. Is there one that would be better for me?

Nc- neutral cool, nw- neutral warm. Everyone's complexion falls into 3 categories. Cool undertone, warm undertone and neutral undertone. I would say, you are more likely to be a warm undertone however, there are always exceptions to the rule. Check out the net, 'how to determine my undertone' to help you in the first step of foundations and concealers :)

Definitely agree with Cass I believe you will fit nc30 to nc25 in foundation

If you are referring to MAC foundation it's the opposite NC is warm tones and NW is cool tones.
