MOTD with Nars Eye Paints.

So, I hauled the Nars eye paints a few days ago, and I thought I'd do a look with them today. So, here it is! I don't like winged liner, but I do like winged eyeshadow (and even when I'm using powder shadows, my looks tend to take this shape), and I wanted to try and see how well I could blend the eye paint, and if it would work as something other than an eyeliner. I really like how it turned out!

I used:
Nars Eye Paint in Snake Eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Verve
Per-fekt Lash Perfection Gel

I love the idea of winged shadow. I've never tried it, but seems like it worked really well here. it's gorgeous. did you bring the snake eyes under your eyes and blend out too or is that just the ud liner? it's gorgeous.

Under my eyes is also Snake Eyes, Kimberly. I only used the UD pencil to tightline and on my waterline. Everything you can actually see is Snake Eyes :) thanks!

How was blending the paints? Did you have to apply a lot of pressure or was it relatively easy? Also how was the lasting power?

I keep seeing these on the Nars counter and they're really tempting me :P

Thanks Breeze, I will :) and Emily, you have NO idea, they're absolutely incredible. Like color tattoos but they don't feel dry at all once they're on (maybe I'm alone in this, the color tattoos feel SO dry on my lids). If you can get your hands on em, do!

Becky, the blending was actually incredibly easy, I did the outer line with an angled liner brush, and then used an old Sephora brand cream eyeshadow brush to fill it in. It was actually really low-effort, I'm really happy about that! No need to use any extra pressure while applying, just make sure you have enough on your brush. As for lasting power: here's a picture. This stuff hasn't budged. It's been on for about 3 hours, I've been running errands in the GA heat, and it hasn't moved. Nor do I expect it to; I don't touch up my makeup throughout the day, so I use Urban Decay Primer Potion under everything and that makes my makeup last forever (seriously, 19 hour days). So I'm not worried about smudging :)

I agree about the eye tattoos! They start to feel like.. Thinly dried oatmeal on my lids. I'll have to get my paws on these Nars beauties though. Have you seen their new eyeshadows too? Those look absolutely fantastic.

I ended up with Malacca when I went to Sephora and got the eye paints, also :) their new duo also feels like a total dream, but I find Nars shadows to be very hit or miss. Either they're beautiful, smooth, pigmented shadows, or they're dry, chalky and terrible.
