Hi!

So a girl I know (won't mention anything specific about her for respect/ she's nothing mine but a friend) has Trichotillomania which means she pulls her hair (it can be anywhere; face, arms, head) she pulls her hair (like from the head) and I really love this girl and it hurts me she has such bad anxiety she does so. So I thought of donating my hair to her she doesn't need much it'll look like extensions. One of the problems is I don't have long hair I have it below the armpit (she doesn't need it long shorter than my hair actually) and layered would that affect making them?
2. Her mom already bought her some hair it says it's 100% but to me it looks so weird for her, that's why I'm giving her mine our hair is like the perfect match, exactly the same. And she kinda feels insecure saying ill regret it right after I cut it, but I won't I'm doing it because I appreciate them very much. What can I do to change her mind?
3. Has anyone done them themselves? I'm doing them by myself and have watched a lot of tutorials about them, but if anyone has done some it'll be perfect if they told me tips or anything!

Thanks if you need a pic of my hair just ask for it!

Thanks girls! 💋

Can I see a pic of your hair? The layers shouldn't matter as long as you braid the ends of the hair and then cut right above where the braid started.

A pic of the back would be more helpful lol.

How much were you thinking of cutting off?

I don't really mind as long as I'm not bald and I'm staying with my bangs (which aren't visible atm)

You'll have very short hair if you cut it enough to make extensions. Her best bet is to buy blonde (very light) and dye them to the correct shade.

We already bought her some but she has thin hair and they don't look good she already has 3 different types but our hair is really similar and I care a lot more of a friend I know since I was born than hair that can always grow.

If a real pair of extensions don't look "normal on her" I doubt yours will either.. There's not too big of a difference between either.
If you're meaning the extensions are more visible because she has thin hair then she just needs to clip the extensions in thinner layers.
Perhaps seeing a stylist specializing in those extensions would be the best bet.

I don't know if this is a good idea... what I mean is making the hair extension... it must be very thight and I've never heard of people doing this. research this before cutting your hair.

You can always buy her new extensions.

I think its great what you are wanting to do, but I think it won't look right. Honestly she needs to just try some different extensions. I also don't think your hair is long enough for extensions to be made... If she tries a good quality brand of hair extension then they will look normal.
