I've used Mac for makeup and I love it. However budget has gotten tight like I'm sure most have. I need something less expensive but good coverage and staying power.
Any suggestions????

Just dust some Kraft dinner powder on your face. Lol sorry Mac foundations oxidize so bad and make me look so orange about 3 hours afterwards.

I understand about the orange. I've had that problem with others just not the Mac. I do have dry to oily skin so that also can cause a color reaction.

I second the vote for revlon color stay...I like it much better than any high end foundation I've used

Another vote for Revlon ColorStay. It's my drug store HG! I use combo/oily because I have terribly oily skin. Love the stuff! :)

For eyeshadows, I like the maybelline eyeshadows. I have one single eyeshadow and I love it! It's like my urban decay ones! And it's not chalky at all!!

If you're going for eyeshadow check out wet n' wild. They have a lot of Mac Dupes.

What are you looking for? If your like me and love eyeshadow and lipstick but don't want to spend the $$$ then I recommend NYX for everything but their foundations.i love all of their eyeshades and their matte lipsticks rival nars! The best foundations I think come from neutrogena because they are so pigmented without cakeyness.

I recommend hard candy one step liquid foundation! for your dry skin it'll feel super nice and smooth, also it's
very lightweight! I don't agree that it's "one step" though, because I always cover up under my eyes and any blemishes I have prior to putting on my liquid foundation. but my skin is nowhere near perfect and I love this stuff! it lasts all day when I set it with powder (haven't tried not setting it though) and its super affordable at around $7-8!!

I suggest going with the Revlon Colorstay line. The original Colorstay is VERY high in coverage & very very matte - The Colorstay Whipped foundation is medium coverage & more of a natural finish. You can't go wrong with either!

Physicians Formula is great MAC substitute. It goes on sale at Walmart (Canada) a few times a year too.
