I think its awesome =) Colors like that are going to fade quickly if you don't take care of them, I would suggest washing your hair as little as possible and rinsing it in as cold of water as you can handle. It may be a little harder to upkeep with the variety of colors, but it will definitely be worth it!

Yeah, you should totally do it. Also, make sure your stylist is using the type of colors you want, there are a lot of different shades for the same color, obviously. To match the picture you'd actually need a pink-based light purple and a blue-pased dark purple. The most damaging part of unnatural hair dyeing is bleaching your hair to be as light as possible, most unnatural colors don't use developer because they're semi-permanant, so they're not damaging and some brands even condition your hair while the color is left in. To maintain the color, take showers in cold, to luke-warm water, whichever you can handle. Wash your hair with sulfate free shampoo, and ALWAYS condition it, even do some deep conditions on the colored part alone.

my hair loos like this ... except mine is aqua and purple. I did ut myself and was way cheaper. I put my hair into two braids and di it. I bought a kit with bleach and dye. I may have to do it every so often, but its so much cheaper than getting it done

If you want to maintain the colour the best thing to do is to find out the product that your hairdresser used then buy the same. If you want a more pastel colour, mix the dye in with a hair treatment and apply it fortnightly. It keeps the hair healthy and helps maintain colours! Always remember to blend the colours through as well :)
