i have truer this out forever. I always have to use hair spray.. try and get a flexible spray or put mouse in before curling. also, I am currently using a wand, I find that some of my other regular big curling irons work much better. also, you can get hot rollers then brush them out. hope this was helpful

While the curling iron is still in your hair, hairspray each piece lightly and then when all done hairspray alot not to crunchy but alot and then they stay in until night or later

sleeping in old fashioned curlers for me doesn't call for hairspray. and also I have a fantastic josé eber curling wand. when you dont put in hairspray the curls stay, and when you do they leave quicker. its weird. but awesome!

Make sure your hair is NOT clean!! Clean hair is the worst start for getting a style to stay! A

I use a large barrelled curling iron and then as I do each curl I roll it up and pin it to my head. Kind of like using rollers but without the rollers. I let that cool, usually about 30 mins - 1 hour. When you take it out they look like quite tight curls do you have to manipulate them a bit to make them look looser. When I do this it lasts all night. I do use hairspray but just the normal amount you would use for any style, the same goes for mousse.

Have you tried the flat iron method? I do loose curls with my flat iron and they stay without falling for a long time. For some reason, when I do my curls with a curling iron they don't last nearly as long. I did a tutorial on flat iron curls on my channel if you want to see!

Also, applying a styling mousse when your hair is wet might help as well :)

I second the curling wand! Spray it and then don't shake it out till its totally cooled.

I usually put a light mousse in my hair before curling and it makes my loose or tight curls stay FOREVER!
