What are you cleaning it with? clean it twice a day, over cleaning can make it worse

Swimming in a chlorinated pool with other people is really advised against when you get a new piercing, if it's already sore it'll be more prone to infection and going swimming could make it worse. Agree with only cleaning twice a day, over cleaning isn't good for piercings and it only needs it twice a day.

If the solution you're cleaning it with doesn't seem to be working as well as it should, cleaning it with a salt saline solution I've always found to be the best way to keep them clean.

Yes-- I have purchased many cans of a saline salt solution and it works better for my ears than the Claire's solution. It's helped my second piercings and my tragus heal.
