I see a lot of hair colors that are red to blonde ombré and the blonde looks really orange like. Is that because of the red dye? Can that be prevented or just expected because of the two colors?

I wanted to go cherry red brown to an ash kinda blonde but I don't want my ends looking like this picture I found

You may have to bleach the ends you want blonde for a not as orange look.

Actually toning the orange/brass coloured ends would turn them into a blonde colour

No it wouldn't, toner is used to remove brassy tones In yellow hair, not remove orange from orange hair or hair that's been stained orange by red dye, that would need to be bleached again and then toned. Though, if I were you I'd go red first, then do the ombré a week or so later so the dye won't run into the blonde.

The thing is I have an ombré right now with my natural color to a dark blondish color. I want to dye to the part (my natural color) a dark red. I'm worried about the color making the ombré I have now orange

There's a high chance that'll happen. I'd probably go to a hairdresser to see if they could do it without the colour staining your ombré.

I'm going to go back to the same hairdresser that did the ombré I have now. Hopefully it turns out ok lol.
