The thick, gel-like juice of the aloe vera plant can take the sting and redness out of a sunburn. Aloe vera causes blood vessels to constrict or Slipping into a tub of chilly water is a good way to cool the burn and ease the sting, especially if the burn is widespread or on a hard-to-reach area (such as your back). Avoid using soap, which can irritate and dry out the skin.

If you can get pure aloe gel directly from the plant that is the best. Or one in a bottle that isnt as processed. I also really like Sun Bum's Cool Down lotion. I haven't used it on a sunburn myself because I haven't had one in a while but I do use it after being at the beach or pool for a good bit and it makes my skin feel nice. It has a light cooling effect (definitely not stinging or burning, not like an icy hot patch lol) and helps replenish moisture as well as soothe itchy skin. It has some aloe in it as well as cocoa butter.

Try milk it gets rid of the sting of the sunburn! You wet a rag with milk and place it on your burn. You have to re wet the rag a couple of times but it works!

I have a generic brand of aloe with nothing special added to it and it works SO WELL. I don't know what it is.
