I've never ever heard that. I'm sure it's fine. I mean if you go to bed with it wet in an ice hotel, it'll freeze and you might get sick but most of us never do that so it's harmless.

The cold and wet on your neck and around your head can give you a cold or flu, or give you pains in your neck or headaches. Its the same as going to sleep in a wet t-shirt or socks, it's more prone to bacterial or fungal infections. It also causes an increase of blood flow to the scalp as your bodys way of protecting from bacteria.
Having fungal infected hair- not very attractive.

It doesn't affect my hair except curling A LOT.. I have naturally really spiraly hair but if you have straight hair I'm sure ull b fin.
