I need a somewhat drastic hair color change! I don't want just a different color...I'm thinking highlights, lowlights, peekaboo?? Any ideas? Pics please. Here's my hair now.

What about blonde and red streaks?

What about going blonde? I just went from black to blonde. It had several stages, I couldn't personally go straight from black to blonde in one sitting so I was able to rock all these other looks In between.

Thanks so much ladies! I just can't decide! If you have more pics it would be a huge help!

Either of those would look great on you!! I feel your pain on wanting a change. I just dyed mine back to black after having purple for a bit and I'm already so bored of it lol I think this would be a pretty color on you as well💜

That's funny Gypsy because that was actually the first one I considered but didn't know if I could pull it off! I have to decide by next Saturday Lol. Black is always the color I go back to as well but I'm tired of it!

Black hair brings out so many flaws in our completion. My hair was black for so many years that I didn't even realize it was true until I actually went lighter. The circles under my eyes didn't seem so dark, my post acne marks didn't seem so brought out and hard to hide. I found myself able to wear less makeup because I felt like the blonde was highlighting my features not pointing out my flaws. It was refreshing

Whitney I'm so glad you pointed this out! Cuz I really do not want to draw attention to the many flaws I do have! You definitely made my decision a lot easier! I'm going to try going lighter!! Thanks so much!!

No problem. I know what toe going through. I loved my blue black hair. It was so long and healthy looking and the dark made my light eyes stand out. I never wanted to change it for the longest time and it is very easy to keep going back to because it something your familiar with. But once I did go blonde I realized how nice it can be on the "lighter" side too.
Both light and dark have great things about them. It was just nice to feel fresh and sort of vibrant

Your not toe,  haha.

Lol Whitney! I'm just afraid it will look weird on me!

I used to think like that too. Even for a while after I went light, I would think to myself, "is this the right color for me? I feel weird. Is it too light? Is it washing me out?"
I just adjusted a couple makeup colors, like going to a more coral pinky blush and lipgloss instead of my usually berry colors. It seems subtle but it made a big difference because I felt like my makeup now matched my hair color.
Do you box dye or pro he your hair black?

Feb 23, 2014

Stephanie M.

I just box dye my hair black but for this I'm going to a salon.

I'm probably going to have to dye my eyebrows then too huh?
