This doesn't work for all skin types ,some people produce a over abundant amount of sebum and need a actual cleanser to break that down so while this way of cleaning your face may work for some it will cause others to breakout just depends on your skin.

Traci is right! Although, I have had a very good experience with it. I've been washing my face with strictly pure organic cold pressed coconut oil everyday, no other cleansing products and its been AMAZING for my skin. You might just have to try it out and see what happens. Checkout the blog by Wellness Mama. Traci referred me to her!

I use coconut oil and baking soda at night and neautragena in the morning (mostly cuz I want to use it up). I love coconut oil and use it for so many things.

I tweaked it a bit to fit my skincare needs. I basically using the oil to completely remove everything and rinse with water then wipe down my face with a warm soaking wet baby face towel. Then I go in with another cleanser...either my African Black soap or Mario Basdecu Enzyme Cleanser. Basically a double cleanse. The reason why some folks may be experiencing breakouts is because the oil acts as a barrier. If its not removed fully from the skin and you apply your nighttime moisturizer or serum its only sitting on top of your skin and not getting into it. And if you're such heavy oils like olive oil its no wonder the skin gets angry. Also some folks don't realize that maybe they are allergic to the particular oil that they are using and write it off as a breakout instead of an allergic reaction and then further screw up their skin treating it with the wrong products. If you want to incorporate oil to cleanse the skin I would follow up with a traditional cleanser afterwards to be on the safe side.
