I am going to make a suggestion here since I suffered with the same thing I used a honey mask my my breakouts literally just organic honey they suggest manuka honey but I just used regular honey and it worked great. You just smooth some on your skin ( be sure to tie your hair back lol) leave on for fifteen minutes or so then remove with a warm cloth. Honey is not only moisturizing but also a great antibacterial agent. It took a few weeks but my skin is completely clear. I did it every day for maybe ten days then went to just treating the small areas I have breakouts in. I also switched to using organic sweet almond oil as a moisturizer as well as organic vitamin e oil. I honestly have not had a zit in months not even when I get my period which used to cause crazy breakouts. I think the switch to natural products really made a big difference I barely use foundation anymore because my skin is so clear. Good luck I hope this helps!

Drink more water. cut out cows milk unless it's organic. tea tree oil (and honey as previously suggested) works wonders. you can get tea tree face wash at ulta or anywhere that sells body shop products. if not, you can wash with your regular face wash and do spot treatment with tea tree oil you can get from walmart in the vitamin aisle.

but seriously, switch to organic where you can in terms of your diet because the hormones in things like eggs, meat, and milk especially can cause nasty hormonal acne. this change is a lot cheaper than dermatologist prescribed medicine. trust me. my sister's acne medicine is still $200 a month even with insurance coverage.

I'm with Sarah. I cancelled out cows milk and products that incorporate it. Along with decreasing my sugar intake as I noticed it was fuel for my acne. Along with switching up my diet I also take flaxseed oil pills everyday. The Omega 3's keep my hormonal acne in check. Now I rarely breakout. Only see a dermo if absolute necessary because of the expense.

At college we were told it is better to sleep with make-up on and cleanse/tone properly in the morning then to use make-up wipes, small breakkout on chin/cheeks can be am indictation:
You're on birthcontrol that doesn't suit
Near period/ovulation
Environmental factor e.g bad weather and not protecting skin with moisturiser
Not drinking enough water
Cleanse, tone, and moisturise twice a day using products for your skin type, exfoliate or steam 1/2 a week, apply a mask for your skin type fortnightly apply a primer before your make-up, and drink at least 2ltrs of water daily
