It is probably dry skin try expoliating and moisturizing more heavily in the patchy spots and then apply a little extra primer to the dry spots also try finding a foundation for dry skin

Try exfoliating well and using a really good moisturizer so your skin is smooth before application. You could be using too much product, try taking a tiny bit of foundation, and build it up slowly instead of putting it all on your face at one time. I found that spraying my brush with a little rosewater/glycerin/fix+ can really help the foundation go on smooth and not too heavy because it sheers it out a bit.

Agree, it,s about the skin. Nourish better the dry patches, gently exfoliate once a week and apply a very thin layer of foundation. :-)

Maybe try a new foundation along with a new skin care routine that includes exfoliating. I also have dry skin and studio fix didn't work for me, mac mineralized foundation has never done me wrong tho. I've yet to found a foundation better than that one. Also try a hydrating primer.

If you tend towards dry skin rather go for a cream based foundation. krayolan is one of my faves. of course you must moisturise up to three times before applying your foundation. using powder is important but just dust it over your t panel with a big brush.
oh yes sometimes it helps to change what you're using to apply your foundation. I find that sponges don't work the best and neither do the flat ish brushes that they sell as foundation brushing. I either prefer using my fingers or for an airbrushed feel use a rounded smallish blush brush. dab the brush into your foundation and apply it to your face using a circular motion. I have always found this to give the best finish
