Whenever I wash my hair I still have a lot of product build up in my scalp and it causes damage to my hair. My hairstylist is no help and says it's because I have a dry scalp. So what are ways that you guys have used to get rid of it?

I thought sulfates were best used for clarifying shampoos since they make it really squeaky clean?

A clarifying shampoo is what you need to use about once a week (more if you notice product builds up quicker) something like the Garnier Fructis

Ok, thanks. My stylist says to use only moisturizing shampoos, so I don't think I'll be seeing her for awhile.

A really great shampoo for that is Prell. DON't use it on the rest of your hair, just the roots. It will dry out the rest of your hair like crazy

Do a vinegar rinse Its properties act like a clirifying agent and will remove build up and help if theirs any bacteria on the scalp or if you tend to have very oily hair just make sure to wash your hair after (:

Head and shoulders and stop putting products on your scalp.

Add a sprinkle of baking soda to the amount of shampoo you're about to wash your hair with! It'll really clean your hair out and you won't have to pay a lot of money for clarifying shampoos (I'm not a fan because my hair can get dry easily and I don't wanna take that risk). Another thing that works is a vodka rinse. If you can get access to it, rinse your hair with vodka at the end of your shower. It removes removes dirt and bacteria and makes your hair incredibly soft (yeah I don't know why. it just does) but its amazing as well
