Fake Nails?? First Timer & Which To Get.

So I'm 17 years old, and I've never had fake nails and I'm not sure how it works... I take care of my nails greatly and I know it damages, weakens and thins your nails, but is it true that it creates bumps? Also any suggestions on which to get also for prom? (My theme is The Great Gastby) pics please?

It does once you take them off from them sanding your nails down. also when you take them off yourself your nails will be super short

Getting fake nails does damage your real nails a little, but it doesn't really affect them unless you're constantly getting fake nails (like me xD). if you get fake nails once & then let them chill for a while before getting a new set, they'll be okay. none of my friends have gotten bumps, but everyone is different so I guess you never know.
I would go with Gel or Solar nails. they last a very long time.. 2-3 weeks usually before needing a fill. I always get solar nails.

I'd just get plain white tip. It does damage your nails and can cause a dip in your nails (personnel experience). They place the tip (if you get white tip) on your nail to see what size you need, file the tip, file your nail, glue the tip, put this clear stuff (I can't remember what it is) on your nail, apply acrylic, shape acrylic, and then you go clean your nails. :)

I have done gel for years and it's been great, then I tried fake nails recently and when I took them off half of my nail ripped off!! Some other were broken as well but they are overall super damaged I wouldn't recommend them!!

Please don't damage your nails and gel damages your nails as well..I've done both. Gel as well thins out the top layer completely

It's prom go all out! Fake nails will damage your real ones but it's okay lol they can and will be repaired

Found them all on google, I think you should pick a shape you like. And base the color on your dress. Pick a sub color from your dress & that should be the main nail color and the designs should be the dress main color
