Make sure you're cleaning your nails with polish remover before you apply anything, to give the polish a clean surface to stick to. Also, be careful with your nails. Don't use them to open things (like your shampoo bottles or body wash bottles), use the pads of your fingers. Try to avoid extended contact with liquids as well. Those are a few things that work for me.

Well it will chip eventually but to extend the life of your polish, clean your nails, use a base coat, only use 2 coats, if you use too many coats or your polish is too thick, it will chip easier, and apply a topcoat. Also, don't open things with your nails and wear gloves when cleaning.

Gloves when doing dishes. I also loooove gel! Well worth the investment. I bought my gelish kit with mini bottles of top and bottom coat about a yr ago and the bottles are more than half full still and working great. I've worn gel all yr except a day or two a month. I got the lamp on amazon for $28. My manicures last 2-3 weeks each.

Try using CND vinylux weekly top coat... Or formula x top coat... Both of these top coats are truly amazing... Put them over any polish... I found that they work similar to a gel mani... You will ❤️
